Career Opportunities at The Board of Certified Safety Professionals

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) began in 1969 as a peer certification board. Its main purpose is to certify practitioners in the safety profession.

BCSP:

  • Sets standards for professional safety practitioners.
  • Evaluates the academic and professional experience qualifications of CSP candidates and applicants.
  • Develops and administers examinations.
  • Issues certificates of qualifications to those professionals who meet BCSPs criteria and successfully pass its examinations.
  • Monitors continued professional development through madatory recertification requirements.

Open Positions

Chief Operations Officer

We are a 25-employee, local, not-for-profit certification organization. Our next COO will be responsible for several departments, including certification services, examinations, program development, marketing, and business development. This person will also be significantly involved in maintaining our accreditations, budget development and management, new product development, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate for this full-time position will have at least five years of management experience, experience and skill in project planning and personnel management, and excellent interpersonal skills. Marketing Specialist

Do you have a degree in Marketing or a similar field? Do you have a strong work ethic and a history of excellent work attendance and punctuality? Do you work well as part of a team? If so, then you might be the right person to join us in this position that is available June 16!

The successful candidate for this full-time position will have excellent communication skills, show initiative, have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines, and will be familiar with Adobe Creative Suites and Adobe Acrobat Pro software. This position requires tremendous attention to detail. Editing of publications, brochures, and advertisements is the primary responsibility of this position. Internships

From time to time, BCSP has internships available. Ideal candidates for an internship are college students not necessarily majoring in safety or a related field who possess effective listening, speaking, and writing skills. We’re looking for individuals who are quick learners, conceptually gifted, analytical, productive, persistent, positive, and results oriented.
